Analogous colour scheme consists of two to six colours that sit next to each other on the colour wheel.
I use this scheme all the time. It creates a serene, comfortable and pleasing to the eye colour palette.
Nature is the master of this colour combination Picture a lake seen, blue in the water and sky, green in the leaves and grasses with grey rocks and brown tree trunks, with all the tints, tones and shades in between equals serenity.
Cool analogous colours; green, blue and purple
Warm analogous colours; red, orange and yellow
Next time you see a pleasing colour palette, whether in a floral design, a piece of art or a decorated room. Have a look and analyze, it may be an analogous colour scheme that has drawn you in.
